To participate in programs at the Benson Center, individuals must:
- Be 55 years of age or older
- Be a Georgia resident *
- Provide a valid Georgia Driver’s License or Georgia State ID showing your current address
- Meet the independence requirements for participation in the Multipurpose Senior Center program
* Fulton County residents who meet the eligibility requirements may become members at no additional annual cost.
Georgia residents who live outside Fulton County are also welcome to join for an annual membership fee.

What You’ll Need
Fulton County residents must have identification that reflects their current Fulton County address.
Applicants who do not have proper identification will need to obtain an updated Georgia Driver’s License or Georgia State ID before scheduling a membership appointment.

Membership Appointment & Assessment
Once residency and identification requirements have been verified, an appointment may be scheduled.
During your appointment, the Social Services Coordinator will complete a required cognitive assessment. This assessment helps determine whether you can participate safely and independently in Benson Center programs and activities.
Members should be able to independently:
- Send and receive emails
- Register for and attend classes
- Navigate safely throughout the facility without assistance
- Participate in programs and activities on their own
Live Outside Fulton County?
Georgia residents who live outside Fulton County may still become members of the Benson Center.
Annual Membership Fee: $100
Payment is due at your membership appointment and may be made by cash or check only.
Out-of-county applicants will also be asked to complete the designated membership application form.
